Funding
The grant pays for most of it.
Malta funds up to 60% of an AI project, with €15 million in the pot and a cut off every fifteen days. Tempra scopes the work, writes the application and builds what is approved.
Who can apply
- A small enterprise: fewer than 50 people, based in Malta or Gozo.
- A medium enterprise: fewer than 250 people, registered and operating in Malta.
- Any sector. The scheme does not pick industries, it picks projects.
- One application per business, and the pot is first come, first served.
What it covers
- Process automation: the work that repeats every week, done by a system instead of a person.
- AI agents and assistants, built for one job, on your own data.
- Systems that talk to each other: CRM, accounts, email, calendar, website.
- Data and reporting: one place the numbers live, and a view that is right every morning.
- The website and the brand work around it, where they are part of the same project.
What it does not cover
- Generic hardware, off the shelf software licences, and advertising spend.
- Work that started before the grant was approved. Nothing is built until the letter arrives.

How it works
- 01
The funding check
Fill in the form below. Within one working day we tell you where the business is losing time, whether AI fixes it, and which scheme fits.
- 02
The scoping session
Two hours, free. We map the work, agree a fixed scope and a fixed price, and write both down. The scoping review itself can be funded under Business Reports for SMEs.
- 03
The application
We prepare the documentation and manage the submission. You sign; we do the rest.
- 04
The build and the claim
Once the letter arrives, Tempra builds the work in weeks, at the price agreed, then compiles the evidence and handles the reimbursement.
Questions
The funding check and the scoping session are free. The build is quoted in writing before the application goes in, and nothing is built until the grant is approved.
You owe nothing for the application. You keep the scope and the quote, and most clients go ahead with a smaller first project anyway, because the scoping has already shown where the time goes.
The application is prepared in two to three weeks. Decisions depend on the body and the call; Digitalise Your SME runs a cut off every fifteen days. The build itself is weeks, not quarters, and the date is in the quote.
Yes, where it is part of the same project. Connecting what you already have is often the first thing worth funding.
The schemes fund the project, not the subscription. Agent support after launch is €50 a month and is quoted separately.
Nothing separately. It is part of the project, at the fixed price in the quote.
